The Public Works (PW) and Supplies, Services & Equipment (SS&E) Unit is responsible for the oversight of the City's procuring activity, as it relates to construction, related trades, as well as services, supplies, and equipment.
Through its PW and SS&E activity the Unit reviews bids to insure that M-DBEs, W-DBEs, and DS-DBEs are solicited for contracting opportunities and that their utilization is maximized. The PW/SS&E Unit determine that M-DBEs, W-DBEs, and DS-DBEs are performing "Commercially Acceptable Functions" (CAFs), in accordance with established program criteria.
